The Center for Celiac Disease at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is hosting its 10th Annual Celiac Education Day on March 15.
The free program gives patients and families an opportunity to learn more about the condition and sample gluten-free foods. (A gluten-free diet is the only way to relieve symptoms.) Breakfast and lunch will be served, and vendors will offer tastings and products for purchase.
Attendees can choose one of three educational sessions: Thriving with Celiac Disease and Diabetes, Celiac Disease and Social Media, and Coping with Celiac Disease.
The program officially starts at 9 am, but registrants can check in as
early at 8:15 am, when breakfast service begins. It runs through 2 pm.
Although attendance is free (and parking!), those interested in participating should register in advance by clicking here. The CHOP website also links to the registration, and provides additional information about the day.
The Gluten Free Garden State crew will be there. We'll post live to social media, using the hashtag #ChopCeliac
