GFGS Community Calendar: January 2015

As a service to our regular readers and the Celiac community at large, Gluten Free Garden State has started an ongoing list of upcoming events of interest. We will feature local happenings, as well as national events open to the public. The calendar will appear on the second Sunday of each month. Sunday, Jan. 25: Wollman Rink Ice Skating Party, 3:30-6 p.m., hosted by the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. The event is held in Central Park. The $100 per person admission includes skate rental. A gluten-free meal is available in the center's private, heated tent at the rink. For more information, visit the center's website.

Monday, May 18: Summertime Gluten Free Cooking with the Experts! class with Charlotte Ann Albertson's Cooking School. In this one-night session, 6:30-9 p.m. at Madsen Kitchen & Bath Design Center (2901 Sprinfield Rd., Broomall, Pa.), corporate chef David Grear demonstrates how to cook, eat and enjoy a gluten-free diet without skimping on flavor and freshness.
